Department/Unit Summary

The Rehabilitation Unit at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This 18 bed unit operates within hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support. Rehab patients have a 10-14 LOS, see patients recover and get better, usually return home to their prior status.Therapy staff is present on the unit and receive 3 hours of therapy per day every day.

How you’ll contribute

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Required Licenses Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Current LPN Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current LPN Licensure with a multistate compact status.

Required Certifications & Skills:

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Trained in IV Therapy
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
