Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Status/FTE: FT / 0.8

Shift length: 8 hours

Start Time: 0800

Unit: Psychiatry

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Weekdays, no weekends

Required qualifications:

  • Current state LPN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • Two (2) of psychiatry experience within the last three years

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous LPN experience

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the psychiatry setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel.
