Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Quality Director, this IP Manager is responsible for organization-wide Infection Prevention, and Quality Control. Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. This position has responsibility for the implementation and review of the facility's infection prevention program for Havasu Regional Medical Center and its entirety. The role ensures compliance with departmental and administrative policies and procedures; ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, local, state, and federal regulatory agencies; develops/monitors quality improvement programs; participates in interdepartmental Quality Management; attends hospital and community meetings as appropriate, serves on various committees; develops, implements, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures for departmental services to ensure safety and reduction in infections.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field OR nursing degree (RN) Required. Master’s degree in healthcare related field preferred. 
  • If an RN applicant, then an Active Arizona RN License or Compact License required.
  • Must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.
  • Must possess knowledge of Quality Operations and Infection Control Practices.
  • Must complete CDC Infection Control Training within 30 days of hire. 
  • Must obtain CIC within 4 years of hire.
  • 3 years of Infection Control, Quality, Epidemiology or Public Health experience preferred. 
  • 2 years healthcare leadership experience preferred.
