How you’ll contribute

As a Radiology/CT Tech, you’ll make an impact by interacting with patients of all ages using a variety of imaging modalities, explaining methods of procedure and ensuring patient comfort. You can also expect to:

  • Work independently as well as a team member, assist coworkers and/or other departments and areas as needed.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning a patient, repeating a procedure, enter, transmit, and reports scan results.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a minimum of an associate’s degree and or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

  • Current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state of Kentucky
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
  • On-Call Availability: Must accept on call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts and must be able to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification.

Georgetown Community is accredited in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography and a designated lung cancer screen center from the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR goal seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
